Sopley Mill Wedding in Dorset

We were booked well over a year in advance by Amy & Marc to create their wedding story. After hearing all of their plans for their wedding at Sopley Mill in Dorset we just could not wait for the big day.

Amy and Mark had met us for a second time during their love shoot where we had plenty of time to talk shop and hear all about the final plans for the day.

As with all things wedding related, time flies by and here we are the wedding day has arrived. We covered Amy’s Bridal preparations at The Manor Hotel in Christchurch and then caught up with Mark at Sopley Mill.

Jasmine (Sopley Mills Wedding Planner who we highly recommend) was on hand throughout the day to help keep proceedings running on time.  Amongst other things we noticed that she had turned all the garden lights on for us as well as lighting candles and placing them along the bridge which was a delight to see.  After a beautiful ceremony, drinks and canopies were served on the lawn. During this time we created & captured some of our signature documentary images as well as organising a small selection of family group pictures. Then it was time for the Wedding Breakfast – Spanish tapas style!  To finish the party they had arranged for a band in the evening.

The weather was generally overcast for the majority of the day which was no problem but towards the end of the evening and I managed to capture the spectacular sunset before it was time for us to leave.  Many thanks to everyone that helped us with our work during the day and a special thank you to Amy, Mark and their wonderful family for being so kind about our work and keeping us fed during the day!  We’re now just starting to layout the pages for their Story Book – I know it’s going to look amazing!
