Gordleton Mill, Hordle Wedding – Danielle & Martin

We were so pleased to be photographing Danielle & Martin’s wedding at Gordleton Mill, near Hordle in the New Forest and had been looking forward to this day since March!  It was important to them to capture the whole day as a full wedding story so the day began at 8:30am at The Mill with the arrival of the flowers, the hairdresser and make-up artist and whilst Wayne took some beautiful pictures of Danielle getting ready, having her hair done and putting on her dress from designer Ian Stuart, I set off to another location to capture Martin’s preparations for the day! The gardens around The Mill are wonderful with bespoke works of art from both local and national exhibitors.  As we wondered around, through the bushes you could see a crocodile on a  large box (made from recycled metal), a large spiders web and a robot! By midday the tables were laid, the flowers were in place and the seating for the ceremony was prepared outside.  As Danielle and Martin hoped, the day remained dry for their outside ceremony, which was followed by the wedding breakfast, which was a feast with a play on the words “Wedding Breakfast”!  Salmon Egg Benedict to start, followed by Bacon, Tomato and Beans and finished off with a fried egg and mushroom dessert – look at the dessert, it was amazing!

As the day moved on and the sun began to set, the guests boogied to the brilliant band, who were friends of the bride & groom, as we captured the evening to complete their story.
