Gordleton Mill Wedding Anna & Phil
Gordleton Mill is a boutique hotel close to Lymington in the New Forest. It’s totally unique as not only is it a converted mill but its also a haven for beautifully crafted art and exquisite food.
Gordleton Mill is almost like a home from home, as soon as you enter the grounds you feel welcome. The gardens are large and rambling with outstanding sculpture tucked away for you to enjoy and explore. I have visited countless art galleries and gastro pubs that try so hard to be sophisticated that you feel like an outsider. Gordelton Mill never fails to look after you like you are family with exceptional service and beautifully crafted food. But it has that subtle understated sophistication that never fails to impress.
Anna and Phil wanted a relaxed and informal wedding and the Mill is the ideal location. We had discussed the style of the photography and the way they wanted their day to flow with them during their love shoot.
It’s often overlooked that the style of Photographer you choose has a very big impact on the way your wedding will feel. We prefer a very light touch & by also keeping the formal group photos to a minimum we were able to leave the party undisturbed for longer which was ideal for our style of imagery.
After the ceremony there was ample time for drinks on the lawn and time to mingle and enjoy the music created by Jonathan Cotton who is now on our highly recommended list of musicians. The evening ended with a disco and a hog roast.
We loved Anna & Phil’s wedding, it was just perfect and every time we shoot at the Mill Liz makes us so welcome it’s always such a pleasure to be able to practice our art with such kind and caring company.
Many thanks to Anna & Phil for asking us to photograph their big day and for looking after us so well. As always. here is a very small selection of our work from the day.
