Highcliffe Castle Wedding
We arrived bright and early for Sam and Tim’s wedding at Highcliffe Castle. We love the castle not only because as it’s local to us but also it’s one of the best preserved houses of it’s style in the UK. It’s a Grade 1 listed building and also has a beautiful view over the bay. Sam and Tim wanted to get married at the castle but have their reception and the beautiful Gordleton Mill. So we covered both venues.
After a very grey start to the day, the rain had a few fits and starts but we managed to make a break for it to take some of our very special fine art pictures before the rain started again.
Many couples dread rain on their wedding day but it’s no problem for us. It’s our job to get great images whatever the weather and to be honest, between you and me, we rather like it! You can create some very cool images in the rain if you know what you’re up to but you do have to shoot in seconds so no one gets wet! Anyway when the heavens opened it was great fun and Sam and Tim where on top of the world! So after a 15 minute shoot around the grounds we all darted back to Gordleton Mill to meet up with Liz where, as always, she created a wonderful reception.
