Dorset Vintage Wedding
It was a misty morning when we approached the family farm Nr Stourpaine in Dorset. The beautiful farm was the location for Lauren & Matthew’s wedding reception. They had some pretty ambitious plans for the reception which included classic cars and steam engines!
The marquee and table preparations were all set up the evening before so there was plenty of time for Matthew and his friends to get to work on the engines and get the boilers fired up for the day’s celebrations.
After photographing the preparations we had time to see Matthew and his party off to the church in his very own steam engine. It was a sight to see as they travelled off to church ( via the local pub ) !
Meanwhile Lauren was finishing off with her organisations and getting into her dress ready for the trip to the church in a vintage MG. The bridesmaids looked beautiful and they were a spectacle at the church as they arrived in a immaculate Pontiac Firebird.
After a beautiful ceremony we organised some family group photos and our classic confetti send-off to cheers and claps from everyone!
Back at the farm the engines were all steamed up and ready for the guests to arrive and enjoy with their canapés.
This was always going to be a complex wedding to cover and we had planned this time carefully with Lauren so that there was no rush and everyone could enjoy the spectacle.
After a wonderful marquee reception with excellent food created by Lauren’s New Zealand friends there was time for us to capture the sun setting over the fields.
We left the couple dancing with their friends to a vintage rock and roll band.
Here is a small selection of our work from the day.
