A Wedding at The Old Vicarage Hinton Dorset
Jade and David’s wedding was held at The Old Vicarage in Hinton Admiral. This was the first wedding we have covered at The Old Vicarage where the couple have chosen to get married outside. Jade and David and their family and friends had put many hours of hard work and planning to make this as special a day for everyone as possible. Jade’s father produced some simply wonderful signs and amongst many other things, he had decked out a butcher’s bike with confetti! Flowers hung from the gazebo rafters and adorned the aisle chairs so the outside ceremony space looked amazingly beautiful. Jade had also chosen the perfect vehicle to transport her to The Old Vicarage, arriving in Lulu, a split screen camper, from Dorset Dub Hire.
However I have to say that all this was pretty much eclipsed by the bridesmaids who looked simply stunning and when Jade walked down the aisle with her father, many people were holding their breath, it was simply a spectacle to behold.
Jade and David wanted their wedding to be as relaxed as possible so their guests could enjoy the afternoon without too much formality. That’s partly why they asked us to cover the day as it suits our style of photography perfectly. We had a wonderful day organising the photography and creating a body of work that were proud to say will last a lifetime and beyond.
So here is a small selection of images from Jade and David’s wedding story…
About the photography
As you probabley know we create wedding stories using pictures and carefully build them into our beautiful Story Books. Our pictures are meant to be beautiful of course, and we use pretty sophisticated techniques to make them so but more importantly they are designed to work as a collection of images that all come together to build a story of the day. But it does not stop there. For us pure aesthetics are simply not enough. We’re always looking to capture the true emotions of the day. It’s a skill we have been very carefully perfecting over the years and we will continue to do so.
Often we go back and look at our stories and relive weddings we have covered all over again. When we do we realise just how important these stories and emotions are. Strangely even though we have seen the images many times before, the beauty, the anticipation and the raw emotion contained in our work can cast a spell over you. Quite often we find ourselves simply smiling at the screen just a little spellbound. It’s not something a single picture can do, it’s an emotion that builds as you view the work and it’s the same affect as watching a movie.
