A Wedding at Bovey Castle in Dartmoor

It’s no secret that we get extra excited when shooting at new locations. It’s inspirational meeting new faces & seeing new venues for the first time, so when we arrived at Bovey Castle in the depths of Dartmoor to be welcomed so warmly by everyone made the trip even more enjoyable! We had travelled down, of course, to capture Libby & Darren’s rather special wedding at this unique & beautiful country retreat.

After a warm welcome and a tour of the hotel by the staff we met up with Libby and the girls for her bridal preparations.

Libby & Darren had put so much work into this wonderful day, not just for them but for their family and close friends to enjoy.  These guys wanted everyone to enjoy the beauty and sophistication of this wonderful venue but without the day becoming pretentious and overly formal. It’s no surprise that they wanted their photographs to capture not only the beauty of the Castle and scenery but also the special moments of joy and fun that bring back the truth and very essence of the day. So after seeing our work on line we were delighted when they asked us to be their photographers.
