A Sopley Mill Church Wedding in Dorset
It’s just a joy to finally get a moment to post up some of this years’ weddings on the blog.
So, we’re starting off with Alice & Ronnie’s beautiful wedding at St Michael & All Angels Church at Sopley with their reception next door at the beautiful Sopley Mill. We had a few minutes to capture Ronnie and his groomsmen at their base in Throop and then we were off to cover Alice’s preparations in the bridal suite at Sopley Mill. It was lovely to see Sarah Abbott doing Alice’s hair and makeup, she is just amazing!
The ceremony was taken by the new Vicar, Nigel Lacey who we got on with really well. Needless to say it was a very touching 45 mins I can tell you! After the ceremony it was off to the mill for a great party! The whole day seemed to fly by in such a blur and it’s only looking at the work now that I can remember what went on!
Alice & Ronnie were so enthusiastic about our work, it was wonderful to be around them, and I could go on all day about these two, they are adorable!
We loved Ronnie’s home made wedding cake ( you pulled it off with style Ronnie! ) & Alice’s hand painted art work for her bridesmaids! Also, the table place names were hand written on mussel shells – such a great idea! The flowers were stunning and the canapés and wedding breakfast were outstanding. We especially loved the gin and tonic ice lollies that were a fun treat for the grownups!
