A Chewton Glen Wedding

We had been so looking forward to Laura & James’ wedding from the moment we met them we knew it was going to be a joy to work with them. They had decided to have a small intimate family wedding at the Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa in New Milton Hampshire. We were especially excited because we had not photographed a wedding at the Chewton Glen before and we were keen to show you all how the hotel can look with our style of photography. Laura & James wanted a relaxed approach to the photography but wanted images that captured real moments of joy which, of course ,suits our style perfectly.

These two love films and amongst their favourites are Harry Potter, StarWars and Lord of the Rings so they decided to have some of these themes running through the day just for fun. The Ceremony room was adorned with a plethara of beautiful candles, old suitcases and all matter of Harry Potter inspired memorabilia which was tucked away for their guests to discover. An amazing magician kept everyone spellbound after the ceremony while we whisked the couple off for their magical walk in the forest gardens we had planned!

During the wedding breakfast Lego kits were supplied to keep there guests busy, some were extremely complicated and it became a bit of a challenge.

This was a February winter wedding and we wanted to make the most of all the winter had to offer. We had the opportunity to shoot some beautiful romantic dark sunset shots as well as sparklers for a finale!
