Stourhead Wedding – Vicki & Dave

We love photographing spring weddings and Vicki and Dave’s day at the beautiful gardens at Stourhead near Mere, Wiltshire was no exception. Although the weather was not quite as good as it has been over the last couple of weeks, it did not dampen the day as the rain, although threatening all day, did not break until after everyone was sitting down for the wedding breakfast!

Whilst we were waiting for Vicki to arrive for some bridal prep pictures we popped over to see Dave and his family who were staying in the National Trust cottage on site and snapped a few shots of the nervous Groom. Then it was back to the Spread Eagle Inn to meet Vicki and her family and we took the opportunity to take some lovely pictures of her dress and flowers in our college style.

After their small intimate ceremony at the Temple of Apollo we followed the family around the gardens taking beautiful informal candid shots as they meandered down the path and onto the Bridge. We then took the opportunity to whisk the Bride and Groom away for a relaxed walk around the gardens and up to the House. The House was just closing when we arrived but with a little wink from wayne ( he always gets his way ) the attendants allowed us in for a couple of pictures of the Bride and Groom in the foyer.

Then it was back to The Spread Eagle where the families were waiting and we took our leave just as the rain started and the wedding breakfast was about to be served.
